Rams trade up 10 spots, draft Miami WR CJ Daniels in 6th round

The Rams didn't want to wait until No. 207 to make a pick, trading up to select Miami WR CJ Daniels in Round 6.

The Los Angeles Rams made their wait between picks a little bit shorter on Saturday by trading up 10 spots from No. 207 to 197 in the sixth round. They swapped picks with the Philadelphia Eagles , sending them Nos.

207, 251 and 252. With the 197th overall pick, the Rams selected Miami wide receiver CJ Daniels. He's their first wideout selected, and their fourth straight offensive player drafted.

Daniels played 13 games last season, catching 50 passes for 557 yards and seven touchdowns. He was a favorite target of Carson Beck, making plays all over the field for Miami as they marched to the national title game. He's another veteran prospect after spending four seasons at Liberty, one at LSU and one at Miami.
