The Auburn Tigers have landed a commitment from elite four-star running back Myson Johnson-Cook, who announced the news Saturday. He was Auburn 's top running back target in the 2027 recruiting class and is a massive win for head coach Alex Golesh. Johnson-Cook picked Auburn over the Miami Hurricanes, Ole Miss Rebels, LSU Tigers , and Kentucky Wildcats .
The Tigers initially extended him a scholarship offer in May of 2025, and the new staff only amped up their pursuit of the East St. Louis, Illinois, product when they arrived in Auburn. He visited twice in 2026, including on April 10, which was his final visit before he committed.
Johnson-Cook is ranked as the No. 50 overall player and No. 4 running back in the Rivals industry ranking.
He is also the No. 3 player from Illinois. He is the highest-ranked member of Auburn's recruiting class, which currently has three members in Johnson-Cook, four-star defensive lineman Donivan Moore, and four-star tight end Georgia Lamons.
