Bucs add some DL depth with DeMonte Capehart in NFL Draft
The Bucs continue to add pieces to the defense with their latest selection in the fifth round.
The Bucs continued to add to their defense as they look to build up some depth for Todd Bowles' side of the ball. With the 155th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Clemson defensive lineman DeMonte Capehart. He was a sixth-year senior, so he is what he is at this point in his football life, and that is an athletic nose tackle for the Bucs.
Last year, the team rolled the dice on the Desmond Watson experiment, and it didn't pan out. They now get someone who fits their mold and can be a part of their defensive line rotation. He tested extremely well at the scouting combine, showing some added promise.

Todd Bowles will now have some depth on his defensive line, so if injuries occur, he will be able to withstand some hits. This article originally appeared on Bucs Wire: NFL Draft: Bucs add some DL depth with DeMonte Capehart in Round 5
