For the second time in program history, Mizzou Football had four players selected in the Top 100 of the NFL Draft on Friday night. That can’t be bad for a recruiting pitch. On Saturday, Eli Drinkwitz and the staff have added to their 2027 class by continuing their in-state recruiting momentum.

Govan chose Missouri over quality power conference programs such as Iowa State, Kansas State, Louisville, and Tennessee. In his junior season, Govan had 57 total tackles and led Republic with four interceptions helping his team to a 9-3 overall record. Govan becomes the 7th overall commit in Mizzou’s 2027 recruiting class and joins tight end Jack Brown and wide receiver Chris Harris Jr.
