Imagine, though, the hopelessness that the squad must now feel now after it fell apart and was overwhelmed by an incredible second half effort from Bayern Munich during the 4-3 defeat. Nadiem Amiri just could not process it at all.
“I’m speechless right now. We played an unbelievable first half. But the quality that came on after was simply impossible to defend against.
It’s the best example of why Bayern are currently the best team in the world,” Amiri stated after the match (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ). Mainz 05 battled extremely hard, but when Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany brought in players like Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Jamal Musiala, the entire tone of the game changed and the Bavarians completely took over.
