Jermod McCoy selected by Raiders in NFL draft fourth round

Tennessee cornerback drafted by Las Vegas in the fourth round.

The NFL draft continued Saturday with rounds four through seven in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Former Tennessee defensive back Jermod McCoy was selected in the fourth round by Las Vegas (No. 101 overall).

The 6-foot, 193-pound defensive back was at Tennessee from 2024-25 after transferring from Oregon State. He recorded 44 tackles, 0. 5 tackles for a loss, four interceptions, 71 interception yards, 13 pass deflections, six punt returns and 59 punt return yards in 13 games during the 2024 season.

McCoy did not play at Tennessee in 2025 due to rehabbing from an offseason knee injury. He transferred to the Vols from Oregon State. In 11 games for the Beavers during the 2023 regular season, McCoy recorded 31 tackles, two interceptions, seven pass deflections and one fumble recovery.
