Browns draft another talented receiver to support Shedeur Sanders

Yahoo Sports

Browns pick WR Denzel Boston at No. 39, adding a red zone threat to support Shedeur Sanders and strengthen Cleveland’s young offensive core.

After the Cleveland Browns drafted a left tackle and wide receiver on Day 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft, they continued to add players to help Shedeur Sanders with their first pick in the second round. The Browns selected University of Washington wide receiver Denzel Boston at No. 39 overall.

He joins first-round pick KC Concepcion and veteran Jerry Jeudy to form a talented wide receiver trio. Boston is a contested catch machine and should be an immediate red zone threat for the Browns. He recorded 132 receptions for 1,781 yards and 20 touchdowns during his four-year career as a Husky.

Sanders is not guaranteed the starting job in 2026, but it sure does seem like head coach Todd Monken and the Browns brass are doing everything possible to give whoever starts at quarterback a solid supporting cast. Receiver room gets another boost! Denzel Boston, welcome to the squad pic.
