The Detroit Lions, after selecting Clemson's Blake Miller and Michigan's Derrick Moore, still have six draft picks as of Saturday morning.

Through the first two days of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions addressed a couple of needs, selecting Clemson offensive tackle Blake Miller and Michigan defensive end Derrick Moore on Thursday and Friday, respectively. There's a path for each player to contribute significantly in Year 1, and both have long-term upside. Lions GM Brad Holmes is entering Saturday with another six picks to work with, including choices at Nos.

118, 157, 181, 205, 213 and 222. Holmes, who never has made more than four picks after Round 3 in any of his previous drafts in Detroit, is sure to maneuver the board in an effort to maximize value. Here's one prospect at every position for the Lions to consider on Day 3.

Best available 2026 NFL Draft prospects for Detroit Lions ▶ Quarterback: Cole Payton, North Dakota State. Payton (6-foot-2⅝, 232 pounds) patiently waited his turn with the Bison, serving as a backup from 2021-24 before becoming the starter in 2025 and leading NDSU to a 12-1 record. He finished third in voting for the Walter Payton Award (the Heisman Trophy for FCS players), completing 71.

9% of his passes for 2,719 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also rushed for 777 yards and 13 scores. Also to watch: Taylen Green, Arkansas ▶ Running back: Le'Veon Moss, Texas A&M.
