Former Colorado CB Colton Hood is drafted No. 37 overall by the Giants after a strong season at Tennessee.

The New York Giants selected former Colorado cornerback Colton Hood in the second round (No. 37 overall) of the 2026 NFL Draft. Hood won't enter the league as a Buff after he transferred to Tennessee following the 2024 season.

He appeared in 12 games for the Volunteers in 2025, totaling 50 tackles, 4. 5 tackles for a loss, one interception, nine pass deflections, one forced fumble and two touchdowns. In his one season at Colorado, Hood played in seven games, including one start.

He racked up 24 tackles, two interceptions and six pass deflections. Hood joins Jordyn Tyson, who the Saints selected in the first round, as the two ex-Buffs drafted so far. Some draft experts had Hood as a late first-round pick, and he was a player moving up draft boards over the last several weeks.

He comes off the board just a few picks into the second round, heading to a team building a strong young core. Hood now joins a young Giants defense under head coach John Harbaugh that includes linebacker Arvell Reese, the fifth overall pick. Hood has all the necessary talent to be a No.
