Each year in April, thousands of runners and volunteers take to the streets of Oklahoma City to remember the lives lost in the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, and the resilience of a city that now marks the occasion with a marathon. The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, now in its 26th year, takes place over the weekend of April 24-26. Last year, the race drew more than 26,000 entrants, a record for one of the nation's most respected marathons.
Here's what to know about the Run to Remember. When is the OKC Memorial Marathon? The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon includes events taking place over three days, from Friday, April 24, until Sunday, April 26.
The OKC Memorial Museum will be open for free to those with a racing bib or confirmation of a race registration. The health and fitness expo will be open again on Saturday, along with free admission to the museum.
