Cowboys first-round pick Caleb Downs welcomed to Dallas with handcrafted Lucchese boots

11 overall selection in the 2026 NFL draft flew to Dallas on Friday and was welcomed in style by his new team. Included in a tour of The Star was a pair of custom cowboy boots from the world-famous Lucchese. Founded in San Antonio and with locations in Arlington and the Fort Worth Stockyards, Lucchese is the official bootmaker of the Cowboys, and they were waiting to outfit the new safety when he arrived at the team facility in Frisco.
Downs is the second Cowboys' draft pick to receive his own pair of boots, after offensive lineman Tyler Booker started the tradition last year .
