Les Snead and Sean McVay confirm Rams are still eyeing WR help in draft
The Rams haven't drafted a wide receiver yet, but they could still add one on Day 3 of the draft.
After two days, the Los Angeles Rams have yet to select a wide receiver in the 2026 NFL Draft. This offseason, much of the media coverage was about their failed attempt to acquire A. J.
Brown and their relationships with the top pass catchers in the draft, especially after the franchise attempted to trade up for Tetairoa McMillan and Emeka Egbuka last season. All of those potential prospects have been plucked by other squads, leaving the situation in a state of uncertainty. Following their Day 2 selections , head coach Sean McVay and general manager Les Snead spoke about their decision not to draft a receiver so far and what their process looks like heading into Saturday.
Snead stated that there will be a possibility that the Rams draft a receiver, saying they could consider a receiver with just about every pick. "Yeah, definitely know that," he said of the need to address wideout. "So, probably every pick we go to, there's a receiver we could pick, but I think we were intentional.
" McVay added they have confidence in their current receiver room of Davante Adams, Puka Nacua, Jordan Whittington, Konata Mumpfield, and Xavier Smith, while also acknowledging there were receivers they liked on Friday who got picked before them. "There was receivers that we had like for that that were there today that were part of the discussions, and sometimes, the other teams kind of end up making some of those decisions for you," McVay said. "But it is important, but we've also got some guys that are going to get better," he continued.
