twitter. com/yXBhDpWkj2 — Notre Dame Football (@NDFootball) April 25, 2026 Fields transferred to Notre Dame for his final year of eligibility after a couple of very productive seasons with the Virginia Cavaliers — and Fields didn’t disappoint. The 6’4” 210 pounder was a favorite target for Irish QB CJ Carr, and it was easy to see why.
Fields has an amazing catch radius and made outstanding play after outstanding play during his lone season in South Bend. His stock went through the roof after he showed out down in the Senior Bowl, but a slower than anticipated 40 yard dash time at the NFL Combine put some doubt in the air. The Giants will now have a very nice and complimentary WR on the other side of Malik Nabers.
New York traded up to get Fields in the 3rd round, so they obviously coveted the skill set that he brings to the team.
