2026 NFL Draft: Chicago Bears making more picks in 2nd, 3rd round; fans excited for Dillon Thieneman

Chicago Bears top draft pick Dillon Thieneman is headed to Chicago. The highly-touted safety was introduced at Halas Hall Friday afternoon. Meanwhile, the team continued to make more selections Friday night the second and third rounds of the 2026 NFL Draft.

The Bears selected Iowa center Logan Jones with the 57th overall pick in the second round. The Bears traded the 60th overall pick in the second round to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for the 69th overall pick in the third round and the 144th overall pick in the fifth round. The Bears also hold the 89th overall pick in the third round.

He fills an immediate need for the Bears and will compete for a starting slot. Bears fans are buzzing about the draft, feeling pretty confident ahead of next season. Several NFL experts are calling the Thieneman pick the best of the night for any team and they're hoping that momentum continues Friday night.

Bears fans are excited and optimistic this morning with the Monsters of the Midway first round pick. "I think it was a great pick," Bears fan Joel Dziedzic said. "Based on what was there I think he's going to do very well.
