•Yahoo Sports

The first Iowa Hawkeye is off the board as Logan Jones is a Chicago Bear.

It took almost two rounds, but an Iowa Hawkeye has finally heard his name called in the 2026 NFL Draft. With the 57th overall pick in the second round, the Chicago Bears selected former Hawkeye center Logan Jones to join their offensive line room. Chicago had a big need at the center position, and they drafted the best collegiate player at that position.

Jones, the 2025 Rimington Trophy Award winner, started 50 games across four seasons at Iowa . Originally a defensive lineman, Jones learned from Tyler Linderbaum and made the switch to center. That move paid immediate dividends, as he went on to have an incredible career in the black and gold.

He'll now head over to the Windy City to join Ben Johnson, Caleb Williams, and a star-studded Bears offense.
