PFF breaks down new Falcons cornerback Avieon Terrell
PFF was high on Falcons CB Avieon Terrell going into the draft
The Falcons have made former Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell their first selection of the 2026 NFL Draft. This came after Atlanta sat out of opening night due to last year's trade for edge James Pearce Jr. The selection of Avieon is extra special for he and his family as he will be joining his brother, A.
J. Terrell, who has played his entire career with the Falcons thus far. The Terrell family doesn't have to go far on Sundays to see their sons play.
Now, looking at the football side of it, what does Pro Football Focus think of the Terrell selection? The Clemson standout was ranked 23rd on PFF's big board, and earned a grade of 83. 5 last season.
"At around 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds, he is on the smaller side, especially for an outside cornerback, but that does not show up on tape," wrote PFF . "He plays bigger than his measurables suggest, and his competitiveness stands out. He is very light on his feet, and while he does not win many hand-fighting battles at the line of scrimmage, he mirrors well due to his foot quickness.
