Instead, it was McCoy’s position mate, Colton Hood.

He had projected Hood at Round 2, pick 36 to the Las Vegas Raiders in his draft profile . Hood went one pick later instead. Hood becomes the third player taken by the Giants in the draft’s first 37 picks.
The G-men took Ohio State LB Arvell Reese with the fifth overall pick. They also held pick No. 10 after trading DL Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals earlier in the week, which they used to take Miami Hurricanes OL Francis Mauigoa.
