The Giants drafted an LB with their top first-round pick and now they might be looking to thin out the loaded room.

The selection wasn’t expected in large part because they used their top pick last year to get Abdul Carter, plus they already paid to extend Brian Burns and have Kayvon Thibodeaux on the roster. It looks like the room is a little too crowded now, and the Giants are engaging in trade conversations for the latter defender, Thibodeaux. If a deal happens, it could be as soon as tonight. Giants have been open to listening… pic. twitter.

There were rumors that the Eagles and Vikings might finalize a trade to send Greenard to Philadelphia on Day 2 of the draft, but Thibodeaux being available may change up the Eagles’ approach. Thibodeaux is heading into his fifth season in the league, and through the first four years of his rookie contract, has amassed 152 total tackles, 55 QB hits, 23.
