Virat Kohli has achieved another IPL milestone, surpassing 300 sixes in the league. He now joins the elite club of Chris Gayle and Rohit Sharma, becoming the third player to reach this mark. Kohli's remarkable consistency continues to etch his name in IPL history, further solidifying his legendary status.

NEW DELHI: Virat Kohli continues to rewrite IPL history, adding yet another milestone to his glittering career during Royal Challengers Bengaluruโ€™s IPL 2026 clash against Gujarat Titans at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Having already become the first batter to smash 800 fours in the tournament, Kohli reached another elite landmark - crossing 300 sixes in the IPL. With 303 sixes to his name, the RCB stalwart is now the third player in league history to breach the 300 mark.

In doing so, Kohli joins an exclusive club featuring two of the most destructive batters the league has seen - Chris Gayle and Rohit Sharma. Gayle, who represented franchises like Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings (formerly Kings XI Punjab) and RCB, sits comfortably at the top with a staggering 357 sixes from 142 matches. Close behind is Rohit Sharma, the former Deccan Chargers and Mumbai Indians captain, who has hammered 310 sixes in 276 matches.

Kohli, who has been synonymous with RCB since 2008, now stands alongside these giants with 303 sixes from 274 matches, in addition to being the leading run-scorer in IPL history with 8,989 runs. While the trio forms the 300-plus club, several other big names feature prominently on the six-hitting charts. MS Dhoni, who led Chennai Super Kings and Rising Pune Supergiant, has struck 264 sixes, known for his finishing prowess.

South Africaโ€™s AB de Villiers (251 sixes for Delhi and RCB) brought innovation and 360-degree strokeplay to the league. Among active players, David Warner (236 sixes), Sanju Samson (234), and Andre Russell (223) continue to dominate attacks, while Kieron Pollard also finished with 223 maximums in a decorated Mumbai Indians career. KL Rahul, representing multiple franchises, has added 218 sixes with his classy yet powerful approach.
