Atlantic's win streak continues with district flag football title

The Atlantic Sharks are on a major flag football roll right now. They've won five straight games, including their district final on Thursday.

The Atlantic Sharks continued their recent domination with their biggest achievement of the flag football season so far. On April 23, they held Space Coast without a single point in the District 9-1A finals, routing the Vipers 27-0 for their second consecutive championship. Atlantic improved its record to 11-4.

Its winning streak also stretched to five games, with the Sharks claiming those by a combined score of 180-26. They now have five shutouts this year. Against No.

2 Space Coast, top-seeded Atlantic controlled both sides of the ball. Junior Terriana Ammons led the offense. She accounted for four touchdowns, passing them to senior Essence Johnson, junior Nadiyah Kwaku and sophomore Santana Dixon and rushing for another.

Ammons finished with 200 yards through the air and 73 on the ground. Senior Reniyah Yan paced the defense with seven flag pulls and four sacks. Her three passes defended tied Dixon for a team high.
