Packers WR Jayden Reed agrees to 3-year, $50 million contract extension

Before action kicks off on Day 2 of the NFL draft, the Green Bay Packers and wide receiver Jayden Reed agreed to a three-year, $50. 25 million contract extension, per Adam Schefter of ESPN . The deal includes $20 million guaranteed and averages $16.

75 million per year in new money. Reed, a second-round pick of the Packers in 2023, was set to enter the final year of his rookie deal in 2026. The extension will tie Reed to Green Bay through the 2029 season.

Reed, 25, led the Packers in receptions and receiving yards in both 2023 and 2024. He played in only seven games during the 2025 season after needing surgery to correct a fractured collarbone and a broken foot. Reed is the team's primary slot receiver and gadget weapon.

Over 40 career games in Green Bay, Reed has 138 catches for 1,857 yards and 15 touchdowns and 34 rushing attempts for 310 yards and three more scores. He's also returned 27 punts. Per the Packers, Reed is the only player in NFL history to post 750-plus receiving yards, 55-plus receptions, six-plus receiving touchdowns, 100-plus rushing yards and a rushing touchdown in each of his first two NFL seasons.
