He’ll get arguably his best opportunity tomorrow when Spurs play away at Wolverhampton Wanderers, though ironically Spurs have found Molineux to be something of a house of horrors, having not won away at Wolves since Nuno Espirito Santo was in charge.
De Zerbi took the microphone for Spurs’ pre-match press conference and gave an update on his players’ availability for tomorrow’s match. And as expected, Destiny Udogie will not be participating. Udogie was seen favoring his quad in Spurs’ draw against Brighton last weekend and it’s confirmed that he’s out with yet another injury.
Neither is Pape Matar Sarr, and while James Maddison made a surprise return to the bench last weekend, it turns out that it’s more about vibes than his actual availability to play. “Destiny has a problem. I think he can’t play tomorrow.
I’m sorry because he played a great first-half, the second-half as well, but the first one was great (against Brighton). But we have Spence, Souza is available to come with us. It’s not a big problem.
I hope Udogie can be available in the next week at Villa Park. “It’s a muscular injury but not so important. He didn’t play for a long time and it can happen at the beginning when you start to feel something of this problem.
