Nebraska’s crop of entries headlined by current freshmen Jake Hockaday, Nikade Zinkin and Abdi Unle

The Huskers have a few current wrestlers and a number of future wrestlers registered at the U20 US Open this weekend in the first step to making the U20 World Team in freestyle. Nebraska will be led by presumptive starters Jake Hockaday at 65 kg and Nikade Zinkin at 70 kg. Hockaday and Zinkin both redshirted this past season, but the Husker staff is very high on both guys and feel good about going into the season with them wrestling at 141 and 149 pounds, respectively.

Nebraska also has current wrestler Abdi Unle registered in addition to top recruits Elijah Collick, Lincoln Sledzianowski, Noah Bull, Mason Petersen, Nolan Fellers and Jason Singer. 𝗩𝗜𝗩𝗔 𝗟𝗔𝗦 𝗩𝗘𝗚𝗔𝗦❗️ The 2026 US Open is here. 📄 https://t.

In freestyle, Unle has some solid credentials — he is a two-time Fargo All-American in freestyle.
