Mansoor Delane shares first question he wants to ask Patrick Mahomes
The Chiefs' first-round pick is excited to share a locker room with Patrick Mahomes.
On Thursday night during the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs shocked everyone with the first trade up of the draft, moving up to No. 6 overall so they could land LSU defensive back Mansoor Delane. In addition to getting a little extra attention because the Chiefs valued him enough to make a trade-up, Delane was also thrilled at the prospect of joining a franchise with such a strong history of winning championships in recent years.
Along with that will come getting to share a locker room with Patrick Mahomes, who has developed a reputation over the past few years as one of the top quarterbacks and overall talents in the NFL. So one might be wondering: what's the first thing Delane wants to ask the legendary Mahomes? "How are you great, the way you great," Delane said when posed that question.
"I think I want to learn around from just every type of person I get around that's the best to do it, I want to take a little something from them. Just to be able to pick his brain, whether it's the way he takes care of his body or the way he approaches the game... there's a reason he's great the way he is, so I want to try and find that.
