Though the Browns undoubtedly addressed their two biggest needs on day one, day two could be even more exciting due to the amount of sheer talent still left on the board. The fact that Andrew Berry was able to add another top-75 selection to Cleveland’s arsenal via their round one trade could also end up paying off in a big way.

With all of that being said, let’s jump into a quick day two mock draft for the Browns. Round 2 (39): CB D’Angelo Ponds – Indiana The Browns nab a compact and feisty slot corner who many thought had the chance to sneak his way into round one leading up to Thursday. Ponds is one of the most decorated cornerbacks in college football history and has absolutely dominated his opponents since his true freshman season at James Madison University.

Following his one year at JMU, he transferred to Indiana, where he became a 2x first-team All-Big Ten selection and second-team All-American. Having a mind-blowing 43. 5” vertical jump has been one of the main reasons why the 5’8.

5” CB has been so effective against bigger receivers, and that’ll undoubtedly help him at the next level. Both the third safety and slot corner in Browns’ new DC Mike Rutenberg’s defense are incredibly important, and Cleveland more than likely finds their day one starter at nickel with their first pick of day two. Round 3 (70): WR Elijah Sarratt – Indiana Todd Monken has said multiple times over the past month that he’s basically looking for a “big” receiver, and he manages to find his guy in round three.
