Philadelphia 76ers rookie VJ Edgecombe gives his love and respect to veteran forward Kelly Oubre Jr.

CAMDEN, N. J. -- The Philadelphia 76ers have a ton of talent on their roster as they look to make some noise in these 2026 NBA Playoffs.

They already have stolen home court advantage as they walked out of Boston with a Game 2 win over the Celtics where plenty of players contributed in the win. One of those players is Kelly Oubre Jr. who continues to do a little bit of everything.

After a quiet first six quarters of this series, Oubre was big in the second half of Game 2. He scored 10 points after halftime, including knocking down two big 3s, and was able to find ways to be impactful in a number of different ways out on the floor. Oubre's performance has the respect of rookie VJ Edgecombe as the young guard knows how important Oubre is to this group.

"Super important, because he can impact the game without having to score," Edgecombe stated. "He's guarding their two best players, you know? Obviously, when you don't get a shot or two, youโ€™re gonna be like, โ€˜ahhโ€™, but he's really professional about it, very mature.
