Lerryan Douglas channeling inner 'crazy hitman' ahead of second UFC fight
Lerryan Douglas is just beginning his UFC career – and violence-lovers are excited.
Lerryan Douglas has proven to be an assassin in the cage. While some may think his demeanor outside of it is different, don't let his nonchalant, easy-going nature fool you. A month after a big knockout of Julian Erosa in his UFC debut, Douglas (14-5 MMA, 1-0 UFC) is waiting for his second assignment.
He refuses to call out any names – but that's because he views himself as a hired hand. "The mindset I go through for fights sounds kind of weird," Douglas recently told MMA Junkie Radio. "I think like a crazy hitman.
You send me the contract. You want me to get that guy, and I'll get that guy – anybody. I'm not going to be a guy who's picking a fight.
I'm just going to get a contract, and your name, and I'll go get you. " Douglas, 30, has been nothing short of explosive in his half-dozen most recent fights, knocking out all six of his opponents. On Dana White's Contender Series, he smoked fellow UFC hopeful Cam Teague.
