There is a new international name to watch for Kentucky

Yahoo Sports

The Kentucky Wildcats are looking internationally for players to fill their roster, and have interest in a Senegalese forward.

Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats continue to look everywhere for talented players to fill out their roster for next season. That especially includes players for the frontcourt, which remains woefully understaffed at he moment. They have been active internationally as well, and a new name on that front is Ousmane N'diaye.

N'diaye is a 6'11", 210 lb forward from Senegal who has been on the radar of NBA teams for a number of years now. His size an developing skills both inside and outside make him the kind of player who could thrive, and have drawn the interest of college teams, including Kentucky per Jacob Polacheck of Kentucky Sports Radio (subscription required). Most recently, N'diaye played with Vanoli Cremona in Italy, and averaged 10.

2 points and 6. 7 rebounds per game. He has also played for the Senegalese National Team and been through the NBA draft process twice.

N'diaye does have to be cleared by the NCAA, though that's expected to happen without problems. He's a talented player, with plenty of upside, and could become a star. Pope has shown a willingness to bring in international players already, so this wouldn't be a surprise.
