Mandatory Credit: Jacob Musselman-Imagn Images Day 1 is in the books for the Cleveland Browns with the 2026 NFL Draft. Now, it's all about what they can do on Day 2.

We've made it through one night of the 2026 NFL Draft and things went well for the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland put together one trade back and came out of the first round with OT Spencer Fano and WR KC Concepcion . Cleveland added third and fifth round picks by trading with the Kansas City Chiefs and they have nine picks left remaining to make.

I'm going to call my shot for how Day 2 could look for the Browns below. The Browns are scheduled to make three selections on Day 2 of the draft. Round 2, No.

39: D'Angelo Ponds, CB, Indiana With the Browns filling their two glaring needs in the first round, they're now in a position to draft the best player available more so if they wish. With Ponds, the Browns would be filling out their defense with a premier talent to plug right into the slot. I'm not counting out the possibility of Ponds playing outside despite the size, I think he can do it.

Cleveland can play Ponds in the slot to get his feet under him in his first year as a pro. Moving forward, the Browns could attempt to move him outside, potentially a Denzel Ward replacement. Don't sleep on what this one can be just because of the size.
