3 things Jaguars must accomplish on Day 2 of 2026 NFL draft

With four selections in Rounds 2 and 3 of the 2026 NFL draft, what must the Jaguars accomplish on Day 2?

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be on the clock for the first time in the 2026 NFL draft on Day 2 after not having a first-round selection. Holding four Day 2 selections, what do the Jaguars need to accomplish with these picks? Address defensive tackle early There isn't a bigger need on the roster than at defensive tackle.

The Jaguars need to add depth to this position group with only five players under contract currently, as well as finding a greater pass-rush presence. Down the stretch last season, the Jaguars struggled to generate a consistent pass rush from the interior. The good news is that only one defensive tackle was taken in the first round.

Don't forget about the offense The majority of mock drafts have the Jaguars spending upward of three of their four picks on the defensive side of the ball -- and understandably so. That is where the bulk of their needs lie between the defensive line, linebacker, and even the cornerback position as well. That said, bolstering the offensive line depth could be on James Gladstone's radar in an effort to improve the run game this season.

Tight end is also a low-key need for the Jaguars. We also know that adding to the receiver position is in play, after the Jaguars' pursuit of Jake Bobo earlier this offseason. Don't be afraid to double-dip One of the luxuries of having 11 picks in total and four in the top 100 is that the Jaguars have the ability to double-dip at a position or two without that taking away from other positions.
