“So bad! ” – Former Liverpool star takes aim at Mohamed Salah Former Liverpool star slams Mohamed Salah over his performances this season Mohamed Salah, like most of his Liverpool teammates, has massively struggled for form this season. Off the back of a historic season last year, scoring 34 goals and assisting another 23 across all competitions, the Egyptian King was tied down to a two-year contract.
However, this season Salah has struggled. He has still managed 12 goals and nine assists across all competitions. And now, Salah has confirmed his decision to leave the club at the end of the season, despite still having one year remaining on his deal.
But at the age of 33, this drop-off is to be expected isn’t it? Not according to former Liverpool defender Markus Babbel, who spoke exclusively to EPL Index. Salah leaving is the ‘right decision’ – “He was so bad!
” When asked whether he believes Salah has made the right decision over his future, Babbel offered a firm response: “I think it was the right decision. It was a tough season for him and it’s not what we know of him,” said Babbel, “He’s always been the player to make a difference, but we haven’t seen that much this season. ” Photo: IMAGO “I’m not sure if the relationship with Arne Slot was the best because it looks like he’s not too happy with the manager.
