Bayern Munich, Manuel Neuer closing in on one-year extension

(Photo by Rene Nijhuis/MB Media/Getty Images) | Getty Images According to a report from Abendzeitung journalist Maximilian Koch (as captured by @iMiaSanMia ), Bayern Munich and Manuel Neuer are on the verge of completing a new deal that will keep the veteran goalkeeper in Bavaria through the end of the 2026/27: Manuel Neuer will sign a new one-year deal at FC Bayern until June 2027. Everything has been negotiated between Neuer & Bayern – an agreement has been reached.

Official announcement is pending. Neuer still feels fit and ready, and the club is very happy with him. Neuer.

It had been debated for months whether or not Neuer would return to Bayern Munich, but now it seems as if the decision has been made, and it is potentially final. The team captain looks like he will return for one more year on the heels of a very strong campaign during this 2025/26 season.
