Liverpool midfielder shares some good injury news It’s been a rough season for Liverpool on the injury front. Right now they are without their first and second-choice goalkeepers as well as their right-back and several more performers besides. Hugo Ekitike for example will probably be out for a year following his achilles rupture.
But there is some good news on the injury front for one player at least. Back in February midfielder Wataru Endo suffered a very bad leg injury in an away game at Sunderland . Indeed the 33-year-old had his season ended by the injury blow - which also threatend to scupper his 2026 FIFA World Cup dream.
But now the Japan captain has given an update on his injury status - confirming that he has already begun to run outdoors. Wataru Endo is back running outside Furthermore the tireless midfielder has also pencilled in a recovery fixture - Japan’s pre-World Cup friendly against Iceland on May 31. “I started running outside,” he tells Synchronous.
