The results are in for the Montgomery Advertiser's athlete of the week, presented by the Vance Law Firm , for performances April 13-17. The poll for both the boys and girls ran from April 19-23, with readers given the option to vote once every hour. Prattville's Chris Hardaway earned a victory in the boys poll after he pitched six innings with five strikeouts and earned the win on the mound with zero earned runs in a game on April 17.
In the girls poll, Prattville Christian's Caroline Burkhart claimed the poll win after scoring three goals with one assist in a game on April 16. Hardaway won the boys poll with 57% of the total votes, beating out Trinity Presbyterian's PJ Shelton. Burkhart won the girls poll with 57% of the votes, taking the win over Saint James' Emily Needham .
