Here are highlights from new Commanders LB Sonny Styles' 2025 season at Ohio State.
It didn't seem possible over the last few weeks, but Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles is now a member of the Washington Commanders . Washington used the No. 7 overall pick on Styles Thursday night on Day 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft.
While Styles was a popular pick in mock drafts for the Commanders early in the pre-draft process, it looked more and more like he'd land somewhere inside the top five. Washington GM Adam Peters jumped at the chance to select Styles once he was available. The 6-foot-5, 244-pound Styles began his career at safety before transitioning to linebacker in 2024.
A three-year starter for the Buckeyes, Styles started 30 games over the last two seasons, finishing with 182 tackles, including 17 for loss, seven sacks, one interception, and eight passes defensed.
