Tottenham keen to renegotiate new Joao Palhinha deal
Tottenham keen to renegotiate new Joao Palhinha deal Tottenham Hotspur are open to signing Joao Palhinha permanently from Bayern Munich, but want to renegotiate the terms of the deal. Spurs signed Palhinha on a season-long loan deal last summer with an option to sign the Portugal international permanently. The potential fee involved is an initial โฌ25m, which could raise to โฌ30m with add-ons.
The North London side are not prepared to meeting that asking price, but have not ruled out a permanent deal. According to Sky Germany, Spurs are open to extending Palhinhaโs time at the club, but only if Bayern lower the original asking price. The 30-year-old has made 28 league appearances for Spurs this season, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
He has averaged more tackles per game than any player in the Spurs squad and ranks sixth in the Premier League for tackles won, despite only starting 19 games. Bayern are open to his sale and will look to offload Palhinha to another Premier League team, if Spurs do not finalise a deal. Any transfer is dependent on Spurs surviving relegation this season.
