When the forecast shows fortune, fame, and a great chance of trophies, the ambient temperatures don’t matter much.

According to The Athletic , Real Madrid-linked Enzo Fernández is on Manchester City’s shortlist for the summer transfer window, as they look to replace departing club legend Bernardo Silva and look to bolster their midfield options, especially given the uncertain future (contractually, physically) of Rodri as well. The rumor coming out the day after Liam Rosenior’s sacking is top-notch timing from the agents involved, though the report assures that City’s interest is at “an early stage” and they have several others on the shortlist as well, including Nottingham Forest standout Elliot Anderson. Then again, that still seems more concrete than anything on the Real Madrid angle — other than Enzo’s own speculative comments of course.

So, an Enzo-Enzo reunion in Manchester? Could be on the table! And as much as that could be a problem for us in the future, City are one of the very few teams who just might meet our spreadsheet-balancing, but as yet still just hypothetical, asking price (around £80m or so, per reports).
