The Browns added explosiveness and YAC ability to their wide receiver room in KC Concepcion.

Heading into this year’s draft, Monken was looking for two things in a potential wide receiver: RAC ability and an elite short-to-intermediate route-runner.

If you’d ask any NFL Scout, they’d say that KC Concepcion is a complete embodiment of those two traits. If you think about the type of player that Monken was trying to find in this year’s class, all you have to do is look back at his Baltimore offenses over the past couple of seasons. There’s a very good chance that he was searching for Cleveland’s version of the Ravens’ Pro Bowl receiver Zay Flowers , who was undoubtedly the main downfield weapon in that passing game.

I have KC Concepcion ranked ahead of Makai Lemon. This separation ability is just rare. pic.

Intermediate choice routes, in-breakers, and whip routes will be the name of the game for Cleveland’s new offensive weapon, with the occasional deep-overs and posts sprinkled in against man coverage.
