After trading back from the 11th pick to the 12th selection and adding Alabama tackle Kadyn Proctor, Miami moved up from their 30th position to the 27th spot. With that selection, the Dolphins added San Diego State cornerback Chris Johnson. The Dolphins will likely be looking for Johnson to start day one as they shore up a position group that was rocked by injury last year and have seen several players leave this offseason.

Johnson can play outside or slide in to cover slot receivers as a nickel cornerback. He may have to adjust to the speed of the NFL game, jumping from San Diego State to the Dolphins, but he has the talent to be a key member of the Dolphinsโ€™ rebuild. Miami is scheduled to be on the clock again with the 43rd pick when tomorrowโ€™s second round kicks off.
