The Draft got started with a bang. Albeit a bang everyone saw coming. The Raiders made their first pick, selecting Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza.

He checks all the boxes for not just a top pick, but for a franchise quarterback.

Making for the one of the easiest picks in this draft and in Raiders franchise history. The Cal transfer, had a meteoric rise in his one-year starter at Indiana. He completed 72% of his passes in the Hoosiers' historic run last season, while putting up 3535 yards passing with 41 touchdowns to just six interceptions.
