PSG, AC Milan and Inter Monitoring Rennes Forward Esteban Lepaul
Goal-scoring sensation Esteban Lepaul is making headlines. PSG, Monaco, and Milan giants vie for Ligue 1's scorching striker.
Esteban Lepaul is piling up goals, and that is starting to attract fine company. PSG and AS Monaco have arrived in the race for a player whose value is climbing at a dizzying rate. Ligue 1's top scorer, on fire in this final sprint that could very well bring Stade Rennais to the Champions League, Lepaul, 26, is generating a lot of transfer talk.
The former SCO Angers striker is even mentioned as the offensive joker for the France team at the World Cup if Didier Deschamps ever needed some new blood. His future is also generating a lot of discussion. Strasbourg took an interest in him in recent weeks, as its two star forwards will be absent next season.
Rennes is not looking to sell, but if offers were to multiply, it could become difficult to resist. Proof of this is the interest now being expressed by PSG and AS Monaco. Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur points out that the man who has been involved in 40 percent of Rennes' goals this season has entered the market for "Champions League"- level clubs.
