Former assistant coach to Unai Emery, Michael Carrick to lead Bayern Munich into massive UCL semifinal vs PSG
Danks for coming.

Assistant coaches Floribert N’Galula, Bram Geers and Rodyse Munienge have followed Kompany throughout the young head coach’s career at RSC Anderlecht and Burnley FC.
The latter duo have now left Kompany to pave their own paths, so the Belgian has moved forward by both finding new coaches and rekindling old relationships. The duo of Rene Marić and Aaron Danks are brilliant examples of the latter. Marić is the most unlikely rekindled relationship of them all, given their relationship consisted of going through the same coaching courses together, but Danks worked with him at Anderlecht for 8 games in 2021.
Still, Danks joined his coaching team at the start of their journey together at Bayern in 2021. Now Danks could manage in a Champions League semifinal against the reigning champions, according to Bild (and captured by @iMiaSanMia ). Due Kompany’s suspension from a yellow card in the UCL tie against Real Madrid, he cannot be on the sidelines for the first leg vs Paris Saint Germain.
And it seems that Danks will take over at the Parc de Princes: There’s no clear hierarchy among Vincent Kompany’s assistants. Officially, the Belgian doesn’t have a clear number one assistant coach. Each of the four has their own responsibilities, without any hierarchy: Aaron Danks focuses heavily on set pieces.
