Cardinals draft picks tracker: Every selection, live grades
The Cardinals moved on from their coach and quarterback during the offseason. Here's what they might do with their 2026 NFL Draft picks.
The Arizona Cardinals started the 2025 NFL season with a 2-0 record, but the wheels fell off shortly thereafter. They lost 14 of their final 15 games to close the season, which resulted in Jonathan Gannon being fired after three seasons. Gannon wasn't the only one jettisoned by the Cardinals.
Arizona also parted with starting quarterback Kyler Murray , absorbing a $52. 7 million dead cap hit over two years to get a reset at the position. That leaves general manager Monti Ossenfort as the last man standing among Arizona's key brain trust.
The 48-year-old figures to be on the hot seat, and will be facing plenty of pressure to improve his roster during the 2026 NFL Draft because of that. The Cardinals are well-positioned to attack this year's draft. They are armed with the No.
3 overall pick, which should position them to land either a blue-chip defender or maybe an offensive tackle to improve their blocking. The only question is exactly how the team will address the quarterback position. New coach Mike LaFleur may be content to roll with veterans Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew as Arizona builds up the rest of its roster, but will Ossenfort be willing to have the same patience?
