They want to leave this draft with more than the four picks they have right now, but finding a trade partner is not always so simple.

Hours before the draft commences in Pittsburgh, NFL insider Tom Pelissero reported that the Seahawks and New England Patriots (who pick 31st as runners-up) have already fielded calls regarding a trade down to Day 2. In a draft where we may not have—everybody can say there’s not as much star power, there’s not as many quarterbacks, all that’s true! We could have a lot of activity tonight precisely for those reasons. ” The last time the Seahawks traded a first-round pick on draft night was 2019, eventually selecting safety Marquise Blair following multiple trades down into the second round.
