UCLA lands Iowa State forward Addy Brown in the transfer portal
The UCLA Bruins forward depth got a bit better on Thursday with former Iowa State star Addy Brown commiting to join the Bruins.
Cori Close and the UCLA Bruins just keep on adding to their roster. Fresh off of an NCAA championship earlier this month , the Bruins landed Addy Brown from Iowa State on Thursday to help fill out UCLAโs rotation. Brown is a 6โ2โ forward that just wrapped up her junior season with the Cyclones.
Brown has co-starred at Iowa State with the nationโs top scorer, Audi Crooks. While Crooks stayed in the Big 12 with Oklahoma State , Brown now finds herself in the Big Ten. The Big Ten Conference is still behind the SEC in terms of level of competition throughout the leagues but itโs gotten closer, evidenced by UCLA knocking off Texas and South Carolina in this yearโs Final Four.
Brown put up 11. 9 points and 8. 8 rebounds per game as a junior, having averaged 13.
6 and 8. 1 for her career as a Cyclone. That help on the glass will go a long ways for the Bruins, who lost Angela Dugalic and Lauren Betts down low.
