Draft night is here, and the last round of projections is starting to settle. Another update from ESPN’s Field Yates has three Clemson football players hearing their names called on Thursday night. At No.
23, Yates sends Blake Miller to the Philadelphia Eagles. The write-up points out that “Right tackle Lane Johnson confirmed in February that he’s back for 2026, but the Eagles have a chance to do what general manager Howie Roseman has consistently done: address ‘wants’ before they become ‘musts. ’” Miller has been one of Clemson’s most reliable pieces up front, starting for four years and logging nearly 3,700 snaps.
In 2025, he allowed just nine pressures and two sacks, numbers that continue to boost his stock late in the process. At No. 28, the Houston Texans are projected to take defensive tackle Peter Woods.
Even with a strong defensive group already in place, the focus here is getting younger along the interior. Yates notes, “The Texans are as talented as any team on defense, but defensive tackle is an area for them to get younger. ” Woods hasn’t put up huge sack totals yet, finishing with 5.
