No matter what the Mets do on either side of the baseball, it just doesn't seem like it's working out. On the flip side of that, it's also fair to mention that during this stretch, they've missed arguably the best hitter in Major League Baseball from the left-handed side of the plate in Juan Soto. Soto, already an all-time great, is expected to return for New York on Wednesday.
When speaking about what that will mean for the Mets, infielder Francisco Lindor had a lot to say about his return. “He’s gonna help us a lot,” Lindor said of Soto , per MLB. com.
“I said that from the beginning, he’s a guy that every lineup wishes they had. We have the opportunity here to have him, and we can’t wait to have him back to do his thing. At the end of the day, I hope everybody doesn’t put all the pressure on him because it would be a little unfair.
