It's very obvious that for the Cubs to be the team they're looking to be, they'll need pitchers in the later months of the campaign. With the injuries only piling up, hopefully, Jed Hoyer will do what's needed sooner rather than later. In a recent trade proposal, he'd accomplish just that in a deal with the Washington Nationals .

The trade wouldn't blow anybody out of the water, but it would be a nice way to get back on track.
