Bayern avoid supporter ban against PSG but fined €60k by UEFA after Real Madrid drama Bayern Munich have avoided the fear playing in front of empty stands against semi-finalists PSG after the heated scenes in their Champions League clash against Real Madrid. Sky Germany have confirmed that UEFA has announced its decision and will not impose a spectator ban on the Bavarians for the semi-final second leg on Wednesday, 6 May. European football's governing association has now reacted with significant, but purely financial, sanctions – Bayern must pay a total of €59,625 as punishment.
Of which, €40,000 is for the violation of the inner pitch area, and another €14,000 for blocking public passageways and UEFA also imposed a fine of €5,625 for throwing objects. The investigation was triggered by emotional scenes from the final stages of the 4-2 second-leg victory against Real Madrid which followed Luis Diaz's late goal Several fans from the south stand stormed towards the pitch, crossed barriers and placed photographers in danger. Several media representatives were subsequently injured.
