Long-term Man United target Zion Suzuki makes intriguing transfer admission Parma goalkeeper and long-term Manchester United target Zion Suzuki has made an eye-catching transfer admission that will undoubtedly pique the interest of the English giants. Suzuki interest United’s interest in Suzuki can be traced as far back as 2023, during his J-League days. A move that summer failed to materialise and United ended up signing Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir instead.

Suzuki continued on his upward trajectory while Onana and Bayindir struggled for consistency at United. Onana is currently on loan at Turkish outfit Trabzonspor, with his Old Trafford future thought to be all but over. Bayindir is also expected to depart at the end of the season.

Fenerbahce and Besiktas have been named as Bayindir’s most likely destinations. After departing Urawa Red Diamonds, Suzuki moved to Sint-Truidense Voetbalvereniging. He made 32 appearances in the Jupiler Pro League, further raising his profile.

Since Parma acquired him in 2024, he has looked entirely at home in Serie A. United were said to be interested in him last summer as a potential replacement for Onana. Again, a transfer never got over the line.

But with both Onana and Bayindir set to exit, while uncertainty also shrouds the future of Tom Heaton, United may dip into the market for a goalkeeper. The Red Devils will undoubtedly want quality depth to ensure competition for Senne Lammens and Suzuki fits the bill perfectly. He has made 16 top-flight appearances this term, keeping four clean sheets in that period.
